Brushstroke and Rhythm

Jacqueline delivers her joint perception of colour and sound through intuitive brushstroke placements. Influenced by the euphonic tone, rhythm and tempo of music, the brushstrokes within each piece ultimately form various unique patterns and shapes.

As streaks and spots parallel beamed and dotted notes, unmarked areas correspond to rest intervals. At parts lulling, other parts electrifying, music brings listeners on a rollercoaster of emotions. She lucidly delineates the tight turns and steep slopes of staccatos and crescendos.
