The mall is positioned to be a bold, dynamic and flexible destination, targeting young students, families and trendsetters. The concept is inspired by silk and tea – local specialties of Changchun. The overall design manifests elegant and rich textures.

2013-2014 SM Mall (Tianjin)
The interior conceptual “Oasis” theme for this high-end luxurious shopping centre was developed to contrast with the architecturally angular and sharp exterior. Organic forms follow in the ceiling curves and alcoves; the colour scheme has a light earthy tone, while natural light filters into the atriums through ceiling installations reminiscent of the tree leaves. Green scales will be added throughout the public areas to provide a refreshing and calming shopping experience.
